Hi, I’m Paula, and I’m so glad you’re here!

Crafty Rock Chick 72 & Pattern by Paula is my little corner of the world where creativity, colour, crochet, fabric and a touch of rock ’n’ roll come together.

My handmade journey began back in 2009, when I started making cushion covers from leftover fabric. What started as a small creative hobby soon grew into something much bigger when I began making personalised gift cushions — and before long, my creations were finding their way to customers all around the world.

In 2013, while living in beautiful North Wales, I decided to develop my own Welsh handmade brand. The response was amazing, and my little business continued to grow.

Then, in 2015, I decided it was time to learn something new. I already knew how to knit, but I had so many ideas in my head that knitting sometimes felt too slow. So I picked up a crochet hook.

Three months later, I was completely hooked!❤️

And that’s where Pattern by Paula began.

I’ve always been creative. Even as a child, I loved drawing designs, dreaming up clothes and coming up with my own jumper ideas. That imagination has never left me.

Today, I create my own crochet patterns, babywear, bags, personalised gifts, cushions and unique handmade creations — often using colourful fabrics, yarns and materials in fun and unexpected ways.

My journey hasn’t always been easy.

In 2024, I made the difficult decision to close my Etsy and eBay shops and take my business in a new direction. I tried different websites and platforms, and not everything worked out the way I hoped.

Then, in 2026, my Facebook business pages were hacked and I lost years of photos, messages and memories from my creative journey.

It was heartbreaking.

But I decided not to give up.

Instead, I started again — rebuilding my business, my website and my brand from the ground up.

And that’s how Crafty Rock Chick 72 & Pattern by Paula was born. ❤️

I wanted a name and a brand that felt like me — creative, colourful, a little bit quirky, and with plenty of rock ’n’ roll spirit!

So now, everything comes together under one roof.

You’ll find personalised handmade gifts, crochet creations, babywear, cushions, bags, crochet patterns and unique handmade makes, all created with care and a little bit of my own colourful personality.
